About

Hey there!

I am Suvam Basak, Prime Minister’s Research Fellow (PMRF) at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. Under the mentorship of Dr. Amitangshu Pal and Dr. Debopam Bhattacherjee, my research focuses on Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite networks.

My research interests encompass implementing and simulating Networked Systems and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Before joining IIT Kanpur in 2022, I earned my M. Tech. in Information Technology from the University of Hyderabad. My thesis advisor was Prof. Satish Narayana Srirama. I also hold a B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering from the West Bengal University of Technology .
